Pros
Before Breef – I hadn’t worked in the agency space before. I wasn’t aware that so many brands work with agencies to grow their marketing programs. I get to produce content for those brands, and share our company’s mission with marketers who may never heard of Breef. Brainstorming is a major part of working here, and it helps keep things fresh. I’m able to come up with my own campaign ideas and content plans – as well as work with leadership on new ideas and channels. Company culture is focused on performance. This is great because I want to know that my work is driving business outcomes. It’s always exciting to see our content go viral and project inquiries increase. I’ve been able to learn how to think strategically and create more engaging content by focusing on providing value to our core user base of brands and agencies. I love that the company culture is to have regular check-ins and promotes upward feedback – so my manager and I can have a great working relationship.
Cons
Some projects involve several teams, and it can be difficult to get everyone on the same page as to what will be ‘great content’ for our audience. Being a startup, the focus of content can often change, so work is never boring.
