Pros
Lots of time off, good people work here
Cons
Very low pay, little room for growth, unhealthy dynamics/expectations of employees, ethical issues I worked here for a long time and gave a lot of myself for very little money and very little appreciation/recognition. Was gaslighted into thinking that was okay and that I couldn't find a better/similarly flexible environment. I have found that to be untrue since I moved on. There are a lot of great people here, but there are also a lot of great people elsewhere in Higher Education. There is great time off, but I was frequently so burnt out that I would end up spending this time recovering from the physical and mental drain of working here instead of enjoying it. I wish that I wouldn't have stayed for so long and accepted so little for myself. It's okay to take a short stop here to get experience, but I don't recommend staying here more than a year or two.
