Annual Development Appraisals are carried out to find out one's aspirations and there seems to be genuine effort to help people progress. The firm can pay for courses / training, but it is dependant on a case-by-case basis.

The pay is on the lower end, though it is expected as the position is considered entry level and does not usually require a law degree (though it's advantageous).
