Pros

After reading a few reviews, I felt compelled to write a few words on my experience here at Bridgeway. After beginning my career here in Q1 of 2006, I was promoted to Partner in August of 2008. Today I run a practice that is currently our largest. There are four things that are most commonly sought after in an employer… corporate culture, advancement opportunity, challenge and financial upside. There is certainly no lack of challenge here and you control your own advancement and financial upside with absolutely no limitations. No internal politics prevent your growth, simply work hard and be coachable and good things happen. When it comes to the corporate culture, I sincerely believe this is unmatched. Every person here is looked at and treated like family. When I read an earlier review that described our President as “only about how much money we make him,” I was literally offended. On many occasions I’ve seen him and other leaders in our organization take money out of their pockets to reward the effort of others. He’s taught me the valuable lesson that if you take care of your people before yourself they will be more loyal and care about our organization. In summation, if you don’t mind hard work then this is where you should want to be. I can’t picture myself ever being anywhere else.

Cons

It isn't easy. It shouldn't be. If it was easy, anyone could do it. If you are not focused on your career and willing to invest the time during the first few years then you may not be successful.

Pros

Strong coaching and clear direction from leadership. The company teaches proven hiring and recruiting principles and provides a clear path to success. There is a lot of autonomy as well; you're given enough rope to succeed (or hang yourself), which means people who take ownership of their work and follow the process can do very well here.

Cons

If you want a "job" and not a "career," you probably won't last. Why? The recruiting field is too competitive. Your competition will win and you'll feel inferior to the talent internally.

Pros

I was hired as an Intern going into my Senior year. It was an incredible experience. There's no way some of these reviews are real. Management was supportive and they gave me a ton of training. I sat in on monthly company meetings and internal trainings and completely felt like part of the team. The President took time with me to talk about sales and the industry and I could tell he genuinely cares. Everyone was friendly, the building is the coolest I've seen so far, and it felt like an environment where I could learn and grow.

Cons

I mean, sales is difficult, and it seems like recruiting is heavily sales driven. It was intimidating getting into parts of the job where I didn't feel like I had all of the answers.
