Pros
Constant work for a community manager. Lots of paper work will keep you busy and not bored. Beautiful office and great tenants.
Cons
Awful training, you are expected to know the company policies and once you think you know them... Bam you're wrong... They change in a drop of a dime. You are constantly being micro managed and have no say so on decisions of your property, yet you are 100% responsible if things go wrong. When ordering supplies they have to be approved by your supervisor or maintenance supervisor. Good luck sometimes they never get approved and your left worried begging to get them approved. Remember you are 100% liable for all that goes on your property. Good luck. Oh and let me tell you, you get treated like scum by everyone in corporate office, very disappointing. Now let's talk about the duties of a Community Managers working for Buckingham. You'd think they consist of paper work, office duties, customer service, leasing and solving tenant issues. Let's add... Throwing out the trash, cleaning the office, club house and laundry room. Oh and yes.. Cleaning the public restroom is a must. As if that's not enough, you have to remove/wash screens, clean windows, and dust as needed. If your maintenance is on vacation or quits you have to pick up trash, wash down walk ways, change batteries, replace bulbs and clean up dumpster area. If you take vacation time off expect to get a call or text from your supervisor or corporate offices.
