Reflecting on My Journey at CARS24 & Moving On After serving CARS24 for multiple years, I have decided to move on to my next professional chapter. During my tenure, I had the privilege of working closely with incredible Engineering Managers, VPs, and the Global CTO. Every one of them was deeply passionate about building the company, fostering a collaborative culture, and leading without ego. I am incredibly grateful for those years of true mentorship and technical growth. However, leadership styles heavily impact the trajectory of a company and its engineering culture. Recent structural changes have shifted the environment away from the core values of transparency, fair mentorship, and meritocracy that originally drew me to the organization. As an employee, I believe in empowering junior engineers and maintaining objective appraisal standards rather than encouraging favoritism or top-down pressure. When alignment on these foundational leadership principles is lost, the best decision is to seek new avenues. I want to thank the amazing peers and teams who made my time at CARS24 unforgettable. Looking forward to what lies ahead in the engineering ecosystem!
