Pros
I made so many friends and the pay was so much better than anything else I could make while in high school/summers home from college. I also enjoyed being outside during the summer. There’s fun benefits like getting into the parks for free and free parking.
Cons
The days were long and the mornings were kind of early. You have to be physically fit for some aspects of the jobs and be willing to deal with the summer heat. As a new lifeguard things can feel very cliquey but once you find a group of friends your set. You also need to be close with the supervisors for better treatment or just be a really hard working employee.
