CERN Response

Thanks for your review and feedback. With regards to career opportunities, like most international organisations, CERN has a limited duration contract policy for staff positions in the spirit of knowledge transfer back to Member States and a healthy rotation among staff. Limited opportunities do arise for indefinite contracts and clearly, competition goes hand in hand with such a process in such a context. CERN remains an employer with an excellent reputation, both locally and internationally, and people working here have the opportunity to (net)work with experts from around the world, acquiring knowledge and learning at the cutting edge of technology while keeping abreast of older technologies too. Whatever the duration of your contract at CERN will be, this experience will always be highly considered by future employers. We wish you all the best!

Pros

The employment process is very smooth and supportive. The technical team interviewed me for technical skills, and the HR is very supportive and helpful. Especially I haven't been employed by CERN previously, so I have a lot of questions. The employment team is very helpful and answered all my questions patiently. Also I like the job and my work very much.

Cons

Maybe the primary communication method could be email instead of phone calls? I sometimes miss phone calls, but will check every email.
