Pros
First and foremost, the people were fantastic, especially the China crew. I still keep in touch with my former colleagues at CET and I miss many of them! Secondly, the work life balance was phenomenal. I had so much PTO that it allowed me to travel all over the world. I was allowed to get off work at 4:30 unless something urgent was happening and I definitely took advantage of that! Finally, I loved how much room I was given to grow and try new things. I started multiple new initiatives at my program in Beijing, which I felt headquarters really supported. CET gave me so much room to express creativity and leave my own mark on the program.
Cons
On the large scale, what CET really needs is to improve its internal communications infrastructure. CET is witnessing growing pains at it has become a mid-sized company but still holds on to certain small company practices. Aside from that, the only con is that as CET is not a very large company, there weren't as many opportunities to transfer to different departments or roles as I had hoped. But as CET is always expanding, I have confidence more and more positions will open up.
