Company seemed confused about itself at best - Anonymous employee CF Employee Review

Pros

- Junior employees are in general friendly and quite supportive of each other - Certain middle management genuinely care (although some have already left the company) - Good data team (although many members have already left too) - The CEO does take the time to send birthday and christmas cards/gifts (but might not acknowledge your presence while in the same elevator)

Cons

- High stress; Projects being under-resourced might mean that your manager is stretched across a multitude of responsibilities and cannot afford to provide the guidance you need and are supposed to be getting - There is a bizzare culture around caring a lot about how your powerpoint slides are formatted instead of crafting the content - The lack of proper quality control due to a compound of different reasons means that you might find that if you, a grad employee, does not spot a mistake (that isn't slide formatting), no one will. This leads to pressure. And you see other employees making mistakes that are not spotted. - The CEO and Partner team have failed to convince me that they have an actual grasp of what the Data Innovation team does and is capable of doing, why their skills are valuable, and how they might be best utilised. Some of the data team are gaslit into (perhaps reluctant) acceptance of this. - Senior leadership seemed confused about how they want the company structure to look like and what work the company expects to do, leading to confusing and contradicting policies (especially HR-related ones) - For some reason, opts for last minute communication about things that affect an employee's employment status. This led to my distrust of the senior leadership. When I left, I did not feel like my job would have been safe even if I had stayed. - A manager can tell you to do something that is against the company's recommendations if it might make themself appear more capable to the senior leadership, and there is nothing in place to curb this behaviour - Training and development is not very structured. These are sometimes delivered by knowledgable junior employees who pass on what they've learnt from experience, rather than being comprehensive training - Although I personally was lucky to avoid developing poor mental health during my time at the company, I am not at all surprised by the recent reviews on here. I do not regret leaving.

Pros

Interesting work, decent pay, some really great colleague

Cons

Projects didn’t feel like their timelines were realistic or planned for success, which often led to a lot of stress and late working. It also felt like the culture had clear favourites that were rewarded and had greater recognition. Some partners were better to work with than others.

Pros

There is some access to bonuses and occasional learning opportunities. However, these benefits come at a significant cost to wellbeing, work-life balance, and mental health

Cons

Expectations are consistently unrealistic, and unprofessional behaviour comes from the very top. This behaviour is not only tolerated but mirrored by promoted partners, which reinforces a culture where poor leadership is normalised rather than challenged. There is also a noticeable sense of arrogance, as though employees should feel privileged simply to work there. In reality, that narrative feels completely disconnected from the company’s reputation in the market. The business would benefit from a serious culture reset, greater humility, and a leadership team willing to acknowledge that respect has to be earned, not assumed.
