      unless you are part of the "click", you will not get anywhere here. It is who you make friends with strategically - this is an internal network where if you are friends, when one is promoted, their "click" also advances

      Pros

      Clean refinery, good enough compensation

      Cons

      Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
