Pros

Flexible, contractors can work remotely

Cons

Advertisements and on boarding are dishonest about the pay that can be earned (it is far less than they indicate). The job is collecting photographs and data for homeowner's insurance under writing, Some regions are large and rural. In such a region, the contractor simply must call ahead to make sure that access to a property is available, so that they don't drive 100+ miles each way to find a locked gate and not be able to complete the work (and thus not get paid). Correct phone numbers were often not provided even when explained that it was imperative to call ahead. When it was pointed out that expecting contractors to drive 100+ miles without even knowing they could complete a job that pays only $25-$35 is not reasonable, there was no response. Repeated requests for assistance were ignored. They clearly do not care about the contractors they hire and make no effort to offer even the bare minimum of care for contractors' time and safety.
