Pros
For balance, there are ‘culture rebels’ within the business who definitely don’t buy into the cult-like BS that comes from senior management. They make the job bearable
Cons
There is a real bullying culture at cmspi. When I joined, hr did a great job in making the company sound so appealing but the reality of things hit home after pretty much week 1. I caught wind of the ceo asking “is she contributing anything meaningful yet?” about me - after literally ONE WEEK!! You struggle to have a normal conversation with anyone, it feels like there is an agenda with everything that gets said. There have been so many people leave the company recently. The ceo is stressed due to the high targets of the new owners and he pours that stress onto everyone else. This amplifies as it trickles down through the ranks. There are unrealistic expectations from managers to constantly try and prove you are the next ‘star’ of the company. So it feels like you are set up to fail from the start. The company really struggles to hold onto people past 12 months - in particular people coming into grad roles who are treated really badly. Someone told me that anti anxiety pills become your best friend working at cms - I thought they were joking at the time but now im not too sure.
