Pros
Some of the best people you'll ever work with! The management of the Goodfield plant deeply cared about retaining and developing their people and delivering on all the goals set by North America executive leadership. The plant manager personally defended me in a presentation I gave to the president of North America manufacturing. The benefits were also incredibly generous.
Cons
Outdated technical infrastructure. A lot of legacy systems that don't like to talk to each other or to SAP. While I was there, they used Blackline for tracking journal entries and reconciliations and it drops files, fails to load, or just doesn't recognize changes you make. The culture also didn't respond well to the pandemic. There was a lot more fun happening before COVID: there used to be all kinds of small gestures of appreciation the company made but most of these went away with the pandemic. Turnover picked up as a result: it was very sad to see the team break up.
