      Pros

      - Nice renovated office (Mississauga location) - Most peers are great people (however some lack work ethic, spend all day on cell phone) unfortunately these people end up past their three months and you are stuck working harder then others. - Great place to get a job if you are desperate for a reoccurring paycheck (they are desperate too!) - Make sure if you get a job offer you ask for more money and vacation! (again desperate)

      Cons

      - Do you like high levels of micromanagement? This is the place for you. - Do you strive to be perfect and never make mistakes? They will expect this!!! - Would you like to work from home? Too bad they only let their favorites stay home! - No product training (or should say very little) - Best days are FRIDAYS when some people work from home -Upper management consists of someone WHO will walk right on past you look you in the eye and not say hello. The coldest person I have EVER had to work with. No human level of interaction exists. I like people who care and value people. - HR claimed in a previous reply to a review- they hand out annual increases. I laughed so HARD and guess what this is very few and far between. Please make sure you ask for your annual increases and if you are promoted for the money you deserve. - Do you like having your sent emails read and critiqued? No one does, the team generally tries to give the best customer service possible and this just brings down the moral. Also equals micromanagement. -Sales reps last a few months. One customer I serviced have had assigned 6 reps in under two years. - Never and I mean NEVER reach out to HR for anything they will only make your work life unbearable (extreme mental health issues) - They provide you with out dated training material and wonder why things were not set up right. - Upper management is unavailable and will not always assist when requested, Emails go unanswered, phone calls not returned. (have all my proof documented) - Employees are held to WAY higher standard than management - Emails are sent to personally knock a person down. With words in capital letters (against company policy) How about being a mentor to employees not a dink? - Do you want a career where you will be overshadowed? There is some people who will talk over anyone, always have something to add to other people's slides in company presentations and NOT one person loves it. -Personal Development plans are a joke! They are met with laughs and statements "that's a hard job" with no support to work on goals. A good manager will encourage and guide their team to success. - Do you like meetings? How about meeting after unproductive meeting after unproductive meeting? It is awesome to sit in these meetings and get paid; talk about all the things you will do BUT never actually execute anything. Work on notes and SOP's that your manager never implements. -Are you a self starter? They are not looking for people like this... they want you to stay in your lane. All and all the list can go on and on... If you really need a job use this place as a stepping stone for experience and a paycheck. I am sure HR will be all over this review with their input. They will lie and embellish say I am afraid of change blah blah blah. It is all BS. Read the reviews for Cansel/ Cobalt. There is no such position as a destiny controller (LOL) and all the positive review sound eerily similar. I highly suggest you realize your full potential and do not let yourself get caught up in this toxic, micromanaged company. When Cobalt launched in August 2018 things went downhill. Working at Cansel was great, still has all the great people and upper management. If you are looking for work look that is the business umbrella I can get behind!

      Working from home is conducive to some roles and situations and not to others. Cobalt has a number of employees, including most of our sales reps, that work from home. However, many customer service-oriented roles are more conducive to be performed at the office in order to have collaborative interactions with other team members. Having said that Cobalt still allows employees to occasionally work at home in appropriate circumstances and when trust has been built. At this point in our evolution, working from home from time to time is permitted with permission from your manager. Unfortunately, for some roles this work style is not available on a full-time basis. We don’t expect our employees to be perfect, but our managers are here to help and coach. As a relatively new company last fall with many new systems and structures it was important to establish a strong system of processes and communication. Our managers investigations found that errors were jeopardizing some customers and increased review and feedback on customer interactions was required to ensure customer satisfaction. As our employees have learned the new processes and requirements and demonstrated that they can produce minimal error free work, the employees are provided more autonomy to complete their assignments. We take feedback seriously and over the last four months since this review was written, the work environment continues to improve. We are moving past the start up phase of a new company and we are continuing to develop our team of talented individuals.

      Pros

      -Company had good benefits and unlike others here my HR experience was excellent as i always got an answer within a short time. -The non management staff are great people and as on to the experience there. -Newly renovated building -Good work life balance

      Cons

      -Management doesn't have a clue how to run the business. They may have been great at their jobs in the past but none are management quality and lack the fundamentals to lead their teams. -parent company Cansel controls the marketing which is a huge blow as they don't have a clue how to properly market for the graphics market. -Company re branded it self in August and wasted valuable dollars doing so with management traveling all over the county for their meetings. Haven't heard of Webex? It will be fun for them justifying all that travel to President. -No price book. no one in the company knows what exactly they sell. Constant talk about how its been more than 5 years for a rationalization but didn't see one until the day i left. -Website is horrible and no one is willing to do anything about it. Million meetings and noting changes. -hopefully you are good at meeting new people because the turnaround of employees is insane. Don't be surprised if you are without a job in a year

      Cobalt is quickly approaching our first year of operations. As with most new businesses, even those created out of other businesses, there are lots of challenges in the first year. We had to break away from our parent company with new systems and approaches. What worked for the parent company doesn't necessarily work in the graphics industry which was the purpose for creating Cobalt. Cobalt continues to grow and strengthen. Our systems and people continue to get better and better and our relationships continue to grow. Our e-commerce platform is best in class and we continue to add products to the site on a daily basis. Our customer love it and our employees are learning the benefits of it. I understand that the first year of any business is very tough, especially adapting to all the changes, but we are coming through it stronger and have great people to take us there.

      Pros

      COBALT is definitely a place that provides an immersive learning experience for those with great ambitions. The employees around me were a reflection of COBALT’s work ethics of accuracy and speed, focusing on effectiveness and efficiency as the core of their daily tasks. The management is also very unique as it truly applies the textbook definition of valuing employees as their best asset. This was a wonderful environment to be around and learn from. I think the experience at COBALT helped me gain many different communications, analytical, and technical skills. Probably the best work experiences I have had thus far. It is definitely a place for professional and personal growth, and a place for ambitions and achievements.

      Cons

      The work progresses fast and requires great attention to detail, only enjoyable for those who are willing to put their best effort and performance forward.
