The division between the German organization and the American one is a huge roadblock to success. Many staff members in Hamburg openly resent and accuse the Americans of preventing them from getting raises and bonuses. But the Germans get all the perks. Lots of vacation, sick leave and bonuses are expected by the Germans. Incompetent workers are almost impossible to fire in Hamburg. For employees working in the US, it's a constant worry that you'll be fired because sales are disappointing compared to Germany. Management does very little to build a united team. CoreMedias technology is old and it can't compete with companies like Adobe and Magnolia. Customers want software as a service offerings but CoreMedia doesn't have one.
