Cons
In the decades I have held professional occupations, this is the worst company I have ever worked for. They are scathingly unethical, mostly in the way they treat their employees. Belittling happens on a daily basis and they view their employees as a commodity, as an object that is a means to an end. This is 2022 - companies should no longer have the mindset that their staff live to work and that mental health and work/life balance are things people don't care about. Even manners and common courtesy towards direct reports and colleagues would be an improvement from where things are at now. Working here will make you question your sanity. You will be made to feel like an idiot if you ask any questions (even during training!), you will be gaslit into oblivion if you offer any suggestions for efficiency/process improvements, and you will be treated like you're always in trouble for something. In trouble for what, you may ask? You'll never know! CRS managers are such poor communicators, cannot answer questions that only require the simplest of answers, can't ever convey their real intentions, and will just straight up ignore you if they don't feel like dealing with you. They've perfected the art of gaslighting, as evident in their responses to some reviews on here (e.g. "Sorry that you couldn't meet our impossibly high expectations!"). Their expectations are unrealistic on a 40 hour work week, but have no fear, CRS allows you to work as many hours as you want for no overtime (employees in this position are salaried) and no work/life balance. To add to that sentiment, they don't give time off for the holidays (Christmas, New Years, day after Thanksgiving). They tell us that this is okay because they give out "floating holidays" which an employee can use those when they so choose. What they don't tell you is that of the 75% of employees that will want time off around the holidays, the majority of them will not get the time off they desire because it is contingent on coverage availability. Yes, this industry does require 24/7 staff, but somehow all other competitors in this space have figured out how to allow their staff time off for the holidays. Management has absolutely no qualifications to manage people. Promotion to management is often based on nepotism. Management has no tact, low E.Q., and make it very obvious that employees should not be treated like the human beings they are. They will not trust you, will micromanage you to the umpteenth degree, and will treat you like a petulant child if you're forced to interact with them. They don't trust their employees to do anything without extreme oversight, even people who have decades of experience in this industry. CRS is only concerned with numbers. They don't care about company culture, comradery, or even customer service. In an industry that thrives on customer service and that is the sole factor that differentiates competitors from each other, you'd think they would care a little bit more. Their lack of customer service is supported by the fact that they cannot keep business or contracts from highly-desired national insurance carriers, even when these carriers are handed to them on a silver platter. They pit employees against each other; instead of fostering an environment of helpfulness and teamwork, they encourage employees to "steal" files from one another, constantly making everyone fearful that they will lose files they've put a lot of time and effort into. All these positive reviews you see are written by management masquerading as direct reports and other departments to buff up their ratings. Don't let them fool you and please, do yourself a favor and run away from this place as fast as possible.
