There are opportunities to acheive call center and insurance experience for students straight out of college. If you are 20 Something there is great potential to promote quickly to a certain point.
Cons
No Rhyme or Reason in how people are promoted other then personal preferences over experience and skills. If management likes someone - regardless of better qualified candidates - management provides that candidate only the opportunities to polish their resume to promote forward. Poor technological infrastructure. Extremely behind the competition which ultimately reduces efficiency, adaptability, and responsiveness. If you are new to the company and over 30 years of age, anticipate that your experience and education will be down played.
