The IT group is in a constant state of change. While it is true that a company or group that doesn't evolve will die, the polar opposite isn't good either. The CIO seems oblivious at what the constant pace of change will have on the individual contributor or low-level manager.
There is a consistent brain-drain from true talent and the C-level is doing nothing to stop it; they seem to be everything they can to accelerate it. What used to be the security group is a good example of this.
