Pros
If you work with a good team you will learn a lot about being a good tech and providing customer service. You will learn what it takes to be an amazing team if you have the right group of people.
Cons
Many of the best pharmacists and techs have already bailed out of this aweful company and many more are looking for an out. That's why you are desperately needed. You will be underpaid for the unreasonable amount of work that is demanded. Hard work isnt the problem - we all do that. The problem is that you will be expected to cover two or three stations at one time as well as answer the phone and make calls and keep customers happy, etc. But don't you dare not keep up. Don't make a customer wait for their medication because many don't care that you've been going at full speed without the chance to pee or eat or take a break for hours, if at all. Don't you dare fall behind on clearing the que even though you've been stuck at a different station for an extended period of time. Don't you dare not get all those phone calls done harrassing customers to fill their prescriptions. Your team is rated on all of those things - calls made, wait time, clearing the que, customer perception of you, etc. It's hard - not because you won't learn to do all of those things, but because you will be expected to do more than is humanly possible in the hours that they give you to complete them.
