Pros

You get paid well when you finally become a crew chief. The other guys in the field and the dispatchers are incredibly hard working.

Cons

The company (owner) does not care about how long you work as long as he gets his income. On average you can expect to work 15-18 hour days with no paid vacation, no sick days, no offered 401k program (you have to ask to be enrolled, then they will make you feel like you are robbing them by enrolling), they will charge you for a lunch break but will not allow you to take one, and worst of all you will never have job security. If you challenge the management (ask questions about whether or not what we do is legal) you will receive "extra supervision" on your jobs and calls. They also allow uncertified employees to conduct jobs that require a special certification to conduct (mold, water mitigation, and sewage). There is also no proper training provided to employees and many have been injured on the job because of this. Overall, I would never recommend this company to anyone and I will never go back and work there.

Pros

Was a warm and welcoming environment at first. Free snacks and at your own pace.

Cons

But with the amount of people who quit in my department in 2025 alone, workload became overwhelming and pay was not worth it even with quarterly commission. When I started, estimators handled 50-60 files to when I left we were handling 180-200 files. Nothing was done by management to alleviate pressure and workload. I would stay after hours our of choice just to make sure I wasn’t behind. No recognition for going above and beyond and instead management asks why our numbers aren’t higher. Pay is lower than competitors. People talk behind your back and can’t confront others face to face when they have an issue. Some upper management has some emotional outbursts and have witnessed one lash out in an emotional episode. Micromanaged with 24/7 audio and visual surveillance.
