Pros
They pay on time and I don't worry whether my benefits are getting paid.
Cons
*CVE is a union contractor but I feel like there is a real disdain by CVE mangagement towards the guys working out in the field Journeyman and below. * They usually put yes men in for General Foremen and above and a lot of times these guys are in over their head and can not take any criticism on the lack of tools, materials or information yet they expect you to get your job done in spite of the above. * Zero work life balance. You can not work 40 hours a week at this company and keep your job. * Their rules are applied differently depending on if you are the foreman and GF buddy. Some guys get laid off for taking a few days off others can take weeks off several times on the same project you are on. * You never know how you can improve or where you stand with this company. Management here is fake. They will tell you are doing a great job and then lay you off and not give you a reason. There is always a reason why someone gets to stay on and someone else laid off but they will never tell you or give you a BS answer. *Nepotism and favoritism to the max. They simply promote their friends and people who will say yes to them. *Finally the culture just sucks at CVE. They will not take suggestions on how to be more efficient. They will work you into the ground. They will not take care of you as an employee and treat you as a professional skilled tradesmen.
