Pros

The day to day is good honest work and feels great.

Cons

Management is unstable and full of egos. Management has been a revolving door with no communications, they are on their 3rd CEO in 2 years with a rotating cast of directors. The atmosphere has become increasingly toxic, with a noticeable absence of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the employees. Furthermore, any attempts to address concerns or raise issues have been met with punitive measures. Shockingly, there has been an instance where an employee was terminated simply for expressing interest in a promotional opportunity. This troubling trend not only fosters a detrimental environment but also raises serious questions about the leadership's commitment to fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Pros

Kind colleagues that appear to enjoy working there, welcoming to young employees and student interns, good company culture, seamless onboarding process, provides accessibility/accommodation support upon request

Cons

Could use improvement regarding overall EDIA strategy/programs and research protocols; very little Indigenous engagement; does not have actions in place with TRC or MMIWG2S+ recommendations.

Pros

I was able to make a tangible difference in people's lives.

Cons

They have many volunteers now so it can be hard to get a shift. They also were not hiring often. The only positions available were in the call center which can be a high stress environment.
