Pros
* Friendly cohesive company - mixing of all employees was at the forefront of management's mind. They tried hard to maintain communication between the various disciplines and project teams. * Opportunity to work on a wide variety of different projects (as long as you don't get yourself typecast) * Generous Pension
Cons
* Management style was "the founders word is not to be questioned", even to the point of some employees being fired for technical disagreements with partners. Since my time the ownership structure has changed, but from contact with friends still there, I've heard that the founders have stacked the management board so that they are still in de-facto control of the business. * Happy to take ethically dubious projects - some employees were asked to work on projects or for clients that they found distasteful. * There is an attitude from management that they're doing you a favour by employing you, and they have got offended in the past by people asking for better working conditions or leaving.
