One of my favorite working experiences to date - Lead Chandler Candlefish Employee Review

The people who work here are genuinely some of the kindest and most supportive people around. Going to work does not feel like a chore but rather like getting to hang out with your friends. While parts of the job may seem daunting at first, such as learning the candle library and filling the wax melter, it is not as difficult as it may seem. The learning process goes by smoothly because of how helpful and patient everyone who works here is. It is also really fun to interact with all the customers who visit from around Charleston and across the country. The Candlefish experience is so unique and its really enjoyable to guide people through it.

The only downside is that the job can be slightly overwhelming during high tourist seasons as it can get busy around the store.

There is so much room for growth! Candlefish is a small business looking to grow and expand its operations. In any position, part-time, full-time, or leadership role, you will definitely learn about the hard but fulfilling work to create an amazing space for the people who work here as well as our customers. It is a dynamic place to work, no two days look the same and there is always something to do. There is a high emphasis on exceptional customer service so you will definitely learn a lot of great sales techniques and simply how to connect with customers on a personal level. Management in the store makes it their priority to celebrate, motivate, and inspire their team! Plus they never miss an opportunity to reward the team when we reach our goals. I have learned so much and grown both professionally and personally when working here.

If you are looking for a job that doesn't have a lot of moving parts, that is slower with more downtime, Candlefish might not be the place for you. While we still have fun, we also do work hard!
