Pros
Strong Brand Name and good presence globally. Good Client Base Friendly Work Culture. Fresher's learning prog ( FLP ) at FS is really good. Trainigs also provided to freshers at TS/OS locations are good. Good for Work Ex Guys ( Especially FS Pune is a gud place for Work Ex ppl to settle down). Flexible work timings ( Depending upon projs) Apart from job, plenty of Fun and Gaming activities every month ( Especially at Financial Services, Pune) Work timings 9 am - 6 pm , Especially at FS Pune .... Different Shifts at TS/OS Mumbai e.g 11-8, 12-9, 2-11 etc (Some ppl find this advantageous) Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore Campuses are nice with facilities such as Gym, dormitories, table tessin etc
Cons
Does not give the best Appraisals and Salaries in the industry. Fewer Development Projs compared to rivals . More of Maintainance Projs. ( Im in DWBI field, not sure of other domains) You have to be a bit lucky to get onsite opportunities and to also get good development projects. Too much focus now on increasing the company headcount and crowding projects with too many resources to increase the billability. Thus, from an initial learning point of view, not the best place for freshers( Not saying that its a bad place, but learning wud be slow although ur offered a good brand name). 3 months of notice period ( even if ur on bench) is bad, not just for the employee but for the organization too. Not a good way of addressing attrition. Does not provide a boyout option Internally FS and TS/OS are like 2 separate organizations. Employees shifting from FS to TS/OS or vice versa ( TS/OS to FS is a bit tuf) have to resign leading to new bank account creation, new Emp ID, PF account etc....Real Headache. FS Management and TS/OS Management dont go along well with each other. Both show reluctance to help one another thus affecting the Org as a whole. Pune Campus a bit disconnected from TS/OS Campuses ( Mum, Bang, Kolkata)...thus its a bit difficult to take a transfer from these TS/OS locations to Pune.
