Pros

Not sure what I can say. I can’t think of any pros to be honest. I think it’s hard to be fired depending on your position and if you are a favored staff member. The more incompetent you are

Cons

Well, they focus more on your clothes than the job that is being performed. In other words a person can be incompetent, a liar and their, but that would be ok. Wear a skirt that is an inch too short and you will be called on it. There is some nepotism which is a perceived problem, but the outright favoritism of those who are typically whining complainers is a bigger problem. Lots of unethical behavior and there are situations where residents are in danger, but that is not ever the focus. The focus is on the making the favored staff happy and avoiding the real problems.

Pros

Slow paced work that is very quiet, typically the biggest part of this job was mail retrieval for residents and greeting visitors. Administrative assistance also became a bigger part of the job toward the end of my employment there, running messages back and forth and doing projects as requested. Nothing back breaking, productive, steady work coming in from other departments to keep me busy.

Cons

The quiet and slowness made me feel like things were dragging on and I didn't have much of a challenge. The insurance was expensive, not sure it was worth it, and they did a lot to cut corners on payment right away (holidays were a payout at the end of the year). Also, raises weren't guaranteed because leadership had issues communicating.
