Pros
It's decent money and an honest job. There are some really good and smart people that work there. A handful of them are trustworthy and won't stab you in the back to get ahead. But keep to yourself anyway because you won't be able to tell one from the other. Another pro is you will get paid on time and the benefits are decent. By all means, use the tuition assistance to go to school if you're going to be there for a while. It's one of the best programs I've seen.
Cons
There is 0 work/life balance. Be prepared to be in flight/fright/freeze mode all the time. Firing Fridays are a real thing. A lot of the kind smart people that were there aren't anymore. Everyone is so tense and it shows up in how people talk to one another. Your two options for survival are politicking or keeping your head down and going unnoticed. But don't pull an Icarus and fly too close to the sun or someone will come along and try to pluck your wings.
