Pros
Carrier is part of a huge organization, United Technologies, which is very widely recognized and is a great name to have on your resume. United Technologies is a great supporter of continuing education and will sponsor employees to go back to school for additional education. They paid for me to go back and get both a masters degree and an MBA.
Cons
If you are not at the corporate level, this is a very easy organization in which to get lost. There are countless levels of management and Carrier is definitely an organization where talent is trumped by age and tenure.
