Pros
The customers, medical benefits, dental.
Cons
There are unrealistic expectations given to store managers. We are expected to get many things done while our stores budgeted hours are always being cut. I’ve never worked a 45hr work week, closer to 60hrs a week. Finding quality staff is near impossible. Being expected to travel to every new store opening almost weekly driving up to two hours away to participate. In the mean time your area supervisor is coming down on you for not having up to date planograms and so forth. You give A LOT and get little in return. The salary is not worth it. I work twice as many hours as my assistant and our paychecks are almost the same. I’ve done the calculations some days I’m getting paid as little as $4 am hr based on how long I have to work that day. Having 572hrs a 2 week pay period with a full kitchen is unrealistic. Mind you 90 of the 572 are mine. I’m completely burnt out and exhausted my phone never stops ringing and work every other weekend do to pack of staff. I’m over it and looking into opportunities else where.
