Decent culture, poor pay, poor management - PHP Developer Catalyst IT Employee Review

Senior management is incompetent. Managing director likes pushing for return to office. There was a budget for new equipment and training, this has now been unofficially removed (management declines all requests yet still claims the benefit exists...). Training manager who organised classes and running courses was laid off, no one rehired and personal upskilling has been left to die. Management push for employees to take initiative to improve things in the company but do not allow us to spend company time on these things. Culture is good for now, but it was better a few years ago and is heading downhill.
