Pros
Light working hours. Relatively stable workplace. Very easy to maintain a low profile and just stay the course. No real sense of priority on projects and timelines.
Cons
Those who want to make a difference eventually get overworked, and many long timers in IT are "phoning it in" and play politics to just collect a paycheck. Poor technology decisions and poor project management have led to a tenuous infrastructure, where break fix is the norm. Fix one thing and uncover 10 more issues.
