Great sense of camaraderie: Colleagues are smart, hard-working, and friendly. Opportunity to work on variety of projects across different business units Internal teams shared by other Elsevier business units provide ongoing logistical support Sufficient budget to attend internal and external training events and conferences Opportunity to travel for conferences within U.S. and internationally Work from home flexibility

Cons

High turnover Unrealistic and unsustainable workload expectations Unnecessarily political and bureaucratic Limited opportunities for growth Pay below market rate Poor health insurance coverage

Pros

I loved working here and being a part of the scientific community.

Cons

There were severe changes that made the job a nightmare. Also, even though we had a certain amount of paid days as part of our original sign on packages, we had 10 days of PTO taken away from us through a "restructuring" of how it was supposed work, but it was really just so they didn't have to pay for 10 extra days off for us. They also renamed all the jobs so that they didn't match the broader market and we couldn't argue that we were not being paid even remotely close to fair market rates.
