Since CSES is relatively small, you are able to fulfill more roles than if you worked at a larger company. Good 401k match, good health benefits. Interesting products.
Cons
I would rather be unemployed than work here. Here's why: HR is NOT your friend. If you have a problem, any problem, they will avoid you at all costs and give you the "silent treatment," just like back in middle school. Instead of helping you with problems, they will make your problems worse. Most employees at this company dislike HR. Management is its own worst enemy. Middle management leads by micromanaging. Extremely controlling. Most managers believe they are superior and smarter than everybody, when in fact, they have no idea what they are doing. There is no organization and structure. Most of your work will consist of rummaging through unintuitive databases and PDM trying to find what you are looking for. It is very difficult to complete your work because CSES hasn't invested enough time and money to develop adequate tools and training for the job. Lastly, Chemring Detection is slowly on Its way out. It's only customer even despises them and is trying to work around them.
