Pros

the manager is pretty nice

Cons

The position i signed up for was a marketing internship and instead when i was hired, other "marketing specialists" and I had to sell products on the street such as cable services or insurance phones. They basically just need bodies in the street and you are only paid through commission. Many times, I felt unsafe having to standup all day and sell certain products at CTA stations (including the south side station)...the job description is very misleading and their entire business model is a triangle scheme.

Just as our representatives explained to you on the morning of your observation day, they would be securing customers on behalf of our client and you would be observing to gain a clear understanding of our systems and procedures. After this shadowing experience, we would have believed that you understood the opportunity we offer when accepting a position at our firm. Our client is excelling within its industry, they are recognized worldwide and we are honored to help them share their message with their customers. Using the most personable approach and systems, which include talking to customers on a face to face basis, we are proud of our success rate and the growth potential that we offer our client and also our team who train with us.

Cons

This job was a scam. I interviewed and got the job while I was finishing up my spring semester at school. They wanted me to come in on the weekends until summer started. During April I went in for three weekends to start my training on a AT&T campaign. I took two weekends off because I had to study for finals. Once summer started I went in for my first day and they informed me that we're starting a new campaign. So all those weekends I came in for was for absolutely nothing. This new campaign involved giving government funded phones to people who are on welfare/food stamps. With this campaign they sent us to Englewood to give phones to people who qualify and I've never been more scared in my life. There were three murders around there the previous week and I can't believe they sent us there for work. I then asked to change campaigns and they said I couldn't. I quit after the first two days. Hours were from 8:30AM-7:30PM and 6 days a week! No way I was going to work in that neighborhood for the entire summer. Management is super shady and unethical. DO NOT WORK HERE!
