Pros
Working one on one with patients.
Cons
Working for ChiroSolutions has been the most draining experience. Working here as a CA you are expected to perform at a level of PTA without any proper certifications all the while being underpaid. The doctor encourages you to coach and educate patients without any prerequisites and believes her “trainings” (that will eat up your lunch time) to qualify you giving therapeutic/nutrition advice. I’ve experienced other CA’s here be bullied on the regular along with patients spoken down to all by the doctor. She will present herself to be caring and offers her services to you as a “benefit” to working here, therefore only blurs the lines of patient/employee boundaries to which she will eventually use as a manipulation tactic if you were to ever take a step back and notice her agenda. The amount of patients that you will come into contact with in a single day at this office is unrealistically high for all of them to be receiving the quality care that you’re expected to provide and what they receive from the doctor. There is no room for growth within and when asking for a raise you will be dismissed with a later date for discussion time and time again. If you are asked to train new employees (which is inevitable with the high turnover rate for this business) you will not be compensated as holding a trainer’s roll for the three month period it takes to get a new CA up to speed. If/ when you decide to move on from ChiroSolutions Center you will be treated with utter disrespect and be expected to leave without a simple goodbye to any one of the patients that you grow to care for deeply since you’ll be seeing them up to 4 days a week. Most patient’s trust is hard to gain for they have felt the abandonment of this tactic far too often. You will be asked for input, only for management to disregard your suggestions and do what is blatantly opposite. You will be expected to follow a dress code that the doctor will personally disregard for herself and specific employees but won’t hesitate to send you home if you are not favorable. Management does not take accountability when mistakes are made and will become defensive and try to gaslight you into believing that anyone but her is at fault. You will be judged for how you spend your midday break since there is an expectation to traction on your own time and will be constantly pulled into a work conversation while clocked out if you choose to take earned break within the building. You will receive employee discounts for supplements that are still sold to you higher than market value. You will be expected to come in for new employee training over the weekend without proper notice (we’re talking days in advance) and will be harassed into compliance. Your timesheets are handwritten, so unless you have a copy/photo of your hours it is hard for you to keep track of any mistakes that may be on your pay stub… and will be reprimanded when you request copies of your time sheet after turned in when you notice you weren’t paid properly for the hours you’ve worked. Proceed with great caution.
