Pros

Fast paced. Opportunities to work on projects for large audiences and high profile clients.

Cons

No one has one job. Roles are very unclear. Managerial staff is highly unorganized, ineffective, and self serving. General office moral is low. Cut throat. no room to grow for 90% of the staff. Micro managed. No positive feedback for employees.

Thank you for your feedback. I would love the chance to speak with you about your experience in more detail as this is not the kind of business I run or that my employees create. Please contact me at the studio as I would really like to speak with you and hear more.

Pros

Meeting amazing people and visiting places you couldn't visit otherwise, can be a great experience. In my opinion, Christian has a fantastic persona and is interested in you personally, he cares about his employees and the complaints are usually misunderstandings.

Cons

Considering I am learning decades of experience, I have little to complain about. Christian worked hard to reach his current position, and he expects the same from his employees.

Thank you very much for this kind review. It is true, this is a hard business to work in. It is very competitive and even harder to make a living in. I don’t take anything or anyone for granted. I truly appreciate you recognizing that.

Pros

Met some great people in the photo industry. Most, though, were either freelancers or that photographers currently or previously part of the studio

Cons

In studio environment is filled with negativity, incompetence and constant degradation. There is no diversity other than white women within the entire company, and that includes freelancers, make up artists, photographer, even barley any clients. Christian is inclined to hire fresh graduates or less knowledgeable of the industry people so then he can tell them they are not worth of their asked pay and constantly compare them to people that used to work there previously (that clearly do not work with him anymore, some don’t ever want to work with him anymore, while others are weary of speaking up as his name is known in the industry). He has mood swings and belittles people working for him when he does, which then transfers to the people working for the company…that simply causes an extremely negative work environment, filled with cattiness, smack talking about each other via slack, and putting blame on each other. Working there made me question ever wanting to be in the industry in the first part and I have been doing this for 10+ years. After leaving I got a job with almost double the pay for half the work. This place was all frosting and molded cake underneath

Thank you for your feedback. As a business owner, I make sure to listen to all of my employees (past and present) as I care deeply about those who work at my company. I understand that there will always be disgruntled employees (particularly if those employees were let go) but I take accusations of racism and sexism very seriously. We are and have always been an inclusive company that hires people for their skill set, passion, and determination - not their sex or race. I also take accusations of abuse quite seriously as this is not the culture of my company and never has been. Please contact me directly at the studio and let's set up a time to discuss these accusations as I would like to learn more about your experience working with the company.
