Pros

Easy to get a job here. The culture is great for you and your coworkers. Everyone is friendly with each other and willing to help. Casual Fridays and frequent location outings help keep moral up in a stressful industry.

Cons

Start with 1 week of PTO, 20% 401k matching, however medical insurance is affordable. Pay is below average and there is little opportunity for advancement or for a raise. Annual merit increases are given at 2%-4%. Cintas resists modern workplace benefits like casual dress, remote working, paternity leave, PTO, etc. With the recent COVID-19 outbreak, Cintas had no plan in place for the safety of their employees. The Director told us he had no plan and that working from home is not an option but employees could use PTO if they want to stay home. If the building is closed (even for city/state mandated emergencies) the only option for payment is using PTO. We had to close during a hurricane and employees were told they should stay home but were not paid. One year on Christmas Eve, the location closed (no option to come in to work) but employees had to make up their hours. We took a company wide survey for all employees where 93% of employees said they feel their pay is not competitive or fair but no change was made.

Pros

Interview process was night and day compared to prior location I had interviewed with. Great benefits, solid support, and an awesome culture. Leadership leads by example, setting the tone from the top (GM). Can't speak for other location, but I was fortunate to land at one of the best. No micromanagement! Professionalism and integrity are a must. Constant promotions.

Cons

No real downsides except for the Florida heat, with only a bit of corporate politics but nothing too crazy.

Pros

The Commission is great. You can make good money in this place.

Cons

While the pay is good, the culture here is not. It is incredibly restrictive. It is very much a “Do what I want you to do, how I want you to do it, and when I want you to do it” management style. They constantly remind you of how much money you can make there which gets annoying after a while. The service team and the sales team are constantly at odds. Not just Cintas, but the industry in general is very sleazy, much like a car dealership. They screw over their smaller customers with enormous year over year price increases. I know a particular salesperson who is having a lot of success their who has no problem lying to his customers, and never answering their calls when the problems come. As long as he keeps the deals coming Cintas does not care. Corporate greed is on full display at Cintas. The Management Development program for college graduates seems like a great opportunity. If you are a young college graduate and you get the opportunity, I would recommend that.
