Pros
- Flexible work arrangement allows you to maintain a balance between home and work. - Strong separation between private life and work - Diverse workplace includes people from around the globe - Stable workplace.. people stay for long periods of time (5 years or more in many cases) - Quiet work environment - Great place to work if you have a family or otherwise have a life outside of work
Cons
The pros are also the cons - People are friendly, but relationships don't go much deeper than that. Again, that's a good thing if you want a strong separation between home and work relationships. Its a bad thing if you want to make 'real' friends. - Cisco needs some creativity, but lack both the appeal to get them to the door and the environment to allow them to flourish - Some employees lack of perspective due to very little or no experience outside of Cisco. Sometimes people come here as graduates and stay forever. That's a good thing if you want stable employment. Its a bad thing if you want to remain competitive and maintain perspective.
