Pros
Great staff and colleagues and family type feel to the organization. The City definitely has a wonderful collection of historic records which is a huge potential resource for the overall community and the region.
Cons
The City relies heavily on outside vendors contracted to perform various tasks which would be better served by staffing positions with professionals who understand community, culture, professional demands and processes. The general environment tends to be one of promoting from within and many employees in lower level positions lacking training or skills are automatically placed into more professional openings or positions where they bring little to the table.
