Pros
Flexible schedule, continual open positions for professionals. There are always openings in various sections. Health care, vacation, and sick leave as compensation package.
Cons
low professional salary, overwhelming job responsibilities, lack of organization, lack of consistency, inability to trust coworkers, management has favorites, no employee perks, no personal interest in employees such as holiday parties, birthdays, special occasions/milestones, no Christmas card or holiday/performance bonus of any kind. Professional staff members do not get the tools they need to adequately perform job requirements. Staff does not work together but stab each other in the back. No trust among staff members. Incredible amount of staff turnover. Atmosphere is negative, oppressed, depressed. Staff who put together special events as an attempt to improve morale are frowned upon, as socialization using up valuable work time that could be channeled into production. There is no concept of work/life balance; it is about work, work, and more work. The more that a staff member does, the more that is expected from that worker, while others do nothing and skate by. There is no motivation to try harder or succeed.
