      Great Opportunity For Growth! But May Not Be For Everyone - Youth Mentor Clarvida Employee Review

      Pros

      -Choose your own hours (within reason) -Working from home about half of the time -Great, understanding, supportive leadership who will back you up always and will always listen. -Connecting with the community and youth -Gives you a reason to explore and learn more about different areas and activities -Opportunity to grow and gain skills alongside the youth you help -Great jumping off point for career -Very fulfilling

      Cons

      -Can require a lot of traveling -Basically a hybrid job (but if that's good for you, this is a pro!) This can make it difficult to separate work life from personal life -Not a lot of say or power in cases and sometimes all you can do is sit with kids as they struggle and get yanked every which way (Not our management's fault however -Get ignored or forgotten about by caseworkers frequently (Also not management's fault) -Occasionally have to work with kids who are disinterested in you or are very difficult to work with -Easy to feel disconnected for the team if Lead doesn't put in the work to bring the team together -Not a forever job

      Working and building relationships with the clients.

      Cons

      If the clients don’t come to school or if the parent cancels a session, you don’t get paid.
