They are very old school. They focus on the number of hours you are on the jobsite instead of the quality of your work and output. Also, there is a very toxic culture. I've only been here 2 years but the things I've experienced have been shocking. My previous company was also a general contractor but they were much more professional. They also expect you to work at least 10 hours per day and don't appreciate it, but always complain if you leave early or arrive late. Expect to work 7:00 am (best case) to 5:00 pm (best case) everyday. Sometimes it can be work, but most of the times it's due to a lack of efficient processes, overworking people, and meetings. You are expected to close the gates so you have to stay until the very last construction worker leaves. Also, it's impossible to take your PTO and even when you do people complain and make you feel guilty about it. I would only work here if you need some extra money to pay off debt.
