Pros
- A typical day at Cleanwatts can be quite laid-back. Not much pressure. - There's a lot of time flexibility. Great for work/life balance. - Good benefits.
Cons
- Management proves incompetent to run a company. There were several dubious decisions made that led to the company's financial problems and consequent lay-offs. - Questionable people management. Dozens of people have been fired since September 2023 (it's been two months today) and more will be fired in the upcoming months, and yet interns are being hired to cover for the lack of human resources, consequence of the current lay-offs. - Employee retention is based on friendships with management. Several highly skilled and experienced people were fired, while unfit employees, who are suspiciously close to management members, took over their responsibilities. - Severe lack of communication. Cleanwatts was going through serious financial issues and the employees were kept in the dark for a very long time. - Questionable business model. Management shows a clear misdirection when it comes to what to do with the company and how to make a profit. - Dubious financial management. Investors' money isn't used as smartly as it should. Going from 90 to 150 employees in the span of three months isn't sustainable for a company that isn't making a profit.
