Junior people are nice, eager to learn and want to do the right thing. If you want to get some exposure in the finance industry as a junior or entry level person - this could be good for you. Senior management are a boys’ club. Tread very carefully. There may be many promises made to you at the beginning to “sell” you the role but they do not deliver. Very poor benefits. Lack of support for gender diversity, gender equality or supporting women. Iron fist on company purse strings. Lack of appreciation for your work and work ethic. Management just wants to take the credit where it’s due. Micromanagement, micro aggressions from management to keep you from speaking up or out. High turnover. Good people leave. Why stay? You will easily be replaced, retrenched or fired if you don’t toe the line, according to their opaque requirements. Beware!
