Pros
* It's incredibly cool to work at a company that stands at the intersection of ag and technology. * A huge amount of co-workers who actually care-- not just about the product, but about the success of the company and the other members of their team. * Good senior leadership in engineering. I learned a ton from the VP and Senior Directors. They're not perfect, but they know it and are always striving to better themselves. * The Monsanto acquisition was a mostly positive move for the company. The benefits improved, and they brought over a good amount of really talented engineers. It was also very helpful to have such a knowledgable ally in the agriculture industry, especially one that believed in our mission. * Great product problems to solve. Satellite image analysis, seed population analysis that interfaces with cutting edge farm hardware, etc.: You really won't find interesting problems like this in many other corners of the tech industry. * The office manager in Seattle is literally the coolest person in the world. * Tons of opportunity for training and career growth.
Cons
* You'll notice a handful of reviews here commenting on the abrasive culture at Climate. Much of this stems from the company's permissive approach to toxic attitudes, as long as the offenders have strong technical chops. This is by no means a pervasive or wide-spread issue, but it's a very real issue, and because of this you'll probably need thicker skin to thrive here.
