Is this your company?

Has potential but needs some work. - Corporate Office Climb Credit Union Employee Review

Pros

Sooper has some of the best employees there! The relationships you make become life-long friendships and everyone works together to get the job done. There are some good people in management but not all of them are good managers.

Cons

Sooper Credit Union needs to be able to acknowledge that they have good employees but also make sure that credit goes to the correct individual. I worked for Sooper for three years and felt unappreciated when I would get my job (plus more) done and my supervisor got the credit instead of me. My supervisor was on Management too. When the state examiners comment about how well I am doing in my department and how they are proud of all the changes I have made but my supervisor takes the credit instead, it definitely doesn't make me feel valued.

Pros

Overall, Climb Credit Union is a solid company with a positive mission and a strong culture across most departments. The organization as a whole values its employees, offers decent benefits, and provides VTO (Volunteer Time Off), which is a great perk for those who enjoy giving back to the community. However, the pay is below market rate, and while the benefits are okay, they don’t particularly stand out.

Cons

If you’re considering Climb, your experience will largely depend on the leadership within your department. Company-wide, it’s a decent place to work with a strong mission, below-market pay, and okay benefits. Many employees across the company are great to work with. However, some departments suffer from poor leadership, which can create a challenging and unsupportive environment. A lack of clear direction, shifting expectations, and inconsistent communication can make it difficult to succeed, even with hard work and dedication. Employees are sometimes given verbal approvals that are later denied, leading to misplaced blame and unnecessary obstacles. If you find yourself in this situation, document everything and keep a paper trail to protect yourself.
