Pros
I started as a scribe in 2018, unfamiliar with the medical field, and worked my way up to a management position. Through this process I have learned invaluable skills as a manager by working with multiple outpatient facilities, EDs, providers, and employees. Being a medical scribe is ideal for anyone looking to get their foot into the medical field, or someone that is looking for experience to go to Medical school. It's an amazing experience to work side by side with world class physicians and get a taste of what you could potentially be interested in. However, I chose to stick with the business side of the company, where I continue to grow in my position. Our VP of Operations is very accommodating and easy to communicate with and supports us from every aspect. We have a close-knit team of managers that are fun to work with and provide a happy working environment. As a manager, we try to offer extreme flexibility with student schedules and employees with other obligations. We pride ourselves in being a relatively young and understanding team trying to help our employees reach their goals!
Cons
CEO can be hard to get in touch with.
