Pros
Ethical, Eco-Minded, Training Opportunities, Great People, Stable, Strong Top Leadership, Wants to be World Class and walks the talk. Benefits are good and bonuses are satisfactory. Very profitable company - $850 million earned leveraging 850 employees.
Cons
Some really good people just left the company. Recent headcount reduction has everyone on edge and spread thin. While it's a proud member of the Farm Credit System, it's much more profit minded, internally competitive, and ego-centric than before the current CEO came to CoBank. You'll forget you're in Denver and sometimes think you're in NY. Satellite offices are more collegial and less stressful. Raises are tiny. Opportunities for promotion/job changes are hit and miss depending on title and business unit.
