Management have a total lack of trust in their staff. They have an phenomenally talented pool of well qualified and well paid staff, but instead of allowing them to do what they do best, they micro manage and evaluate every aspect of your day. As a business our job is to provide CRE data, instead you spend all day trying to find 20 people to spend 90 seconds reading a script to (I know, it sounds easy!), Of course, a script makes sense for some interactions but NOT for every single one, and not every time you speak with your contact.
Targets change frequently, and performance improvement and disciplinary action for not achieving is a constant threat.
At a starting salary of £26k in the real world, most people understand that you might have to work extra hours. But, the moral is so low at the moment because unrealistic targets have been set meaning your whole day is about making calls, leaving no time to get on actually add value to our product.
Your team and center manager aren't really interested in hearing feedback or suggestions which might go against what 'America' tell us to do.
An attitude of 'we pay you well so what's your problem?' - but no one is really interested in hearing what the problem is. If something doesn't work, it's because the staff didn't do it correctly.
